When in a Traffic Accident be sure to check for injuries

Most people give more thought to their odds of winning the lottery than being in a traffic accident. At the scene of a traffic accident, though, it’s important to check on the condition of people first. After that, you can take care of any paperwork and exchange information.
Let’s assume you’ve already ensured that you and your passengers are all right. Now it’s time to check the occupants of other cars involved in the traffic accident. Before you get out of the car, check traffic conditions to make sure it’s safe to open your driver’s side door. Advise your passengers to stay inside the vehicle for the time being, unless there is damage to the car that makes it unsafe to stay there.
